Last month, Net Zero Carbon Joint Stock Company organized a scientific seminar in Dien Bien with the theme: “Smart rice cultivation solutions, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and achieving high economic efficiency.” The event attracted leaders, businesses, experts from Vietnam, and engineers from Thailand and Spiro Carbon USA. The primary goal of the seminar was to explore advanced rice cultivation methods to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while optimizing economic returns in agriculture.
Key discussions focused on increasing productivity and improving the quality of rice products, applying modern technology to minimize environmental impact, and building sustainable farming models suited to local conditions.
During the seminar, Net Zero Carbon announced a pilot project for smart rice cultivation, set to be deployed on 60 hectares in Dien Bien province. This project will incorporate the innovative BNS method, aiming to create a more sustainable and environmentally friendly rice farming model.
As the exclusive project development partner for Net Zero Carbon, GreenUP plays a pivotal role in implementing the green rice cultivation initiative. GreenUP is responsible for developing and scaling sustainable practices that reduce carbon emissions in agricultural production.
The seminar provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to share knowledge, exchange experiences, and propose new solutions for advancing sustainable agricultural practices.
